Yes, it's working out in the end, but the root cause is still there and due to FOMM'd brute force methods, any other mod install could just as easily break it again. The memory issues are likely due to a broken mod that is itself getting broken when using FOMM. The easiest one is the one that doesn't physically break your installation and has decent sanity checks.

The original question, I believe, was a look for the 'Easiest' Mod Manager, wasn't it? This is an issue that comes back to personal preference I thing, and possibly the system that the game is running on. anything else doesn't seem to help at all.
